Chinese Cooking and Public Transportation Summer Camps
Phone 503-888-8270 for private cooking classes and Chinese cooking-themed events.
Summer 2020 dates will be posted in early spring
Tie on your apron and learn the art Chinese Cooking! We will learn orienteering, map reading, how to read a bus schedule, use a transportation app, and how to take the bus and light rail. We will use our skills to go to various Asian grocery stores by public transit and saute, deep fry and steam dishes from all over China.
In each store, students are tasked with communicating with staff to find the ingredients on our shopping list. At the end of each day parents enjoy a delectable sampling with their children. Campers must be experienced with knives and kitchen clean up.
Instruction in Mandarin or English with additional instruction as needed depending on the group's language level.
